I was surprised I'd...It's definitely worth a read. I was surprised I'd forgotten about it, but the narrative isn't wicked strong. Then, when I was trying to remember the plot, I remembered all the things I liked about it: female courier/operative (with some fun tradecraft), issues of prejudice and bigotry (against genetically engineered beings, IIRC), chosen families, etc. Although Friday reminds me strongly of some of his younger female protagonists from short stories (like "The Menace From Earth"), situated in the cultural context RAH was writing in, it's pretty progressive.Danahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12352657682995863838noreply@blogger.com
