Research for BAD ALCHEMY

Go-Go Girls of the Apocalypse hasn't even come out yet, but I'm already deep into writing Bad Alchemy, and I must admit that the research I've been doing the last few days has my longing to get on a jet and head across the Atlantic again. Most of the novel take place in Prague. Wish I could get back there, and I probably will, but who knows when.

Anyway, the photos give you an idea of what the place looks like. At least the places most tourists see -- which is not to imply they're bad places. Prague Castle is pretty effing cool.

Is BAD ALCHEMY a sequel to that fine Steve Guttenberg film BAD MEDICINE before his career tanked and had to resort to selling bibles to hotel chains?

A friend of spent a semester abroad in Prague-he's crazy to go back. That must be some city.

Prague, eh? Cool. When I was stationed in Germany (late 80s), a bunch of us tried to set up a trip to Prague. Unfortunately, political unrest in Czechoslovakia put the kibosh on tourist visas for US military personnel.

Will any of the book take place in Plzen or České Budějovice? I hear they do some alchemy in both of those cities.

It would have been nice to check out the brewery in Plzen but we never made it that far.

But Germany's a great destination too. I enjoyed Berlin and Munich quite a bit.
