Electricity back on ... kiss my ass, pre-industrial society.

I have been basking in the awesomeness of air-conditioning. Hurricane Gustav put quite a smackdown on Baton Rouge, and i was without power for a week.

A favor: During that week, i was only able to check e-mail intermittently. If you sent me an e-mail and i didn't reply, then somehow it slipped thru the cracks. Please send again.

Now if the cable would come back on, I'd be all set.

A week! That's horrible. Glad you're okay now.

Glad to hear you're power's back. Did the Electric Co. turn it back on, or do you have some of your neighbors chained to stationary bikes in your basement? Either way, it's good news.

Glad to hear that things are (slowly) returning to normalcy and that you are all right.

Now back to that writing thing, Victor!

I said in the service that I would never take a hot shower for granted and for 40 years I've kept my word.

We've lived through 4 or 5 hurricanes, plus NC's infamous ice storms, and know what no power is like.

Good to see you have it back. I hope others (4 weeks! Yikes!) have their power back soon.

Thanks, guys.

I'm starting to regret getting my phone, internet, and cable TV all bundled together. Lose one, lose 'em all.
