In a recent one-star Amazon review for Go-Go Girls of the Apocalypse, Jayna Pavlin writes, "I love the genre when it's well done and this book was not. It is full of predictable and flat supporting characters, female characters fully content with the loss of rights, sexual stereotypes, and a main character that is just not very interesting at all. The writing is about on par with a work of puberty fueled fan fiction."
Ouch. No hard feelings, Jayna. I appreciate your giving the book a try. I hope you get all the Dr. Who stuff on your Amazon wish list.
On the other hand, horror author Bryan Smith's Top Ten Reads of 2008 lists Go-Go as one of his favorites. So, that's worth like at least eleven stars, right?
So really I'm way ahead.

Actually, I've read and enjoyed all of your books, particularly this latest one and Pistol Poets and Gun Monkeys. Go Go Girls kicks ass and everyone should read it.
Having read a lot of post apocalypse stuff... I wonder what she mean's by done right... I really can't think of any of books in the genre where women fare better due to their gender than they were before the apocalypse.... by the way I have also read all of your stuff, and thought Gun Monkeys and Pistol Poets were the stand out crime books...
Guys, that's awesome. I appreciate the continued support.
If I went on to Amazon and they were ALL one-star reviews, I'd probably be pretty depressed. But if I get a one star review once in a while mixed in with the others,I'd just like to think that means a variety of people are giving the book a try.
Also, I can pretend to be a good sport.

Gischler sucks.....??????
Don't you know it's rude to spit!
But apart from that, I read the book last year, and if I'm honest I didn't quite enjoy it as much as some of the previous books, but hey it kept me entertained and I wasn't screaming for my money back.
The reviewer needs to change her meds as they're not getting the job done
Thanks for stopping by, Col2910.
And if anyone likes any of my books for any reason, then I'm grateful. Nobody has to like them all.
Stop in for another visit any time.
As for the young lady's meds ... hey, no worries. Actually my wife has yet to read a sinle one of my novels all the way through. She says they're "icky."
Icky. We should make that a new genre.

Victor,
Some of my one-stars are near and dear to my heart. After all, you're nobody 'til somebody hates you.

Isn't that the same gal who you linked to before for her blog? She had a negative review listed there and then people went from this site to her blog? Then they started commenting on her blo?. Then she got upset and referred to everyone as "fanboys"? Or, was that someone else?
