To be honest, I haven’t read any Deadpool books in years, simply because I found him incredibly annoying (which was disappointing since I thought he looked cool). But I’m interested in what you’ll do with the character. Seems like a no-brainer—get someone who is actually funny to write him.
(To be fair, some of the previous writers of Deadpool might have done a good job, I’m just going on what I remember about the character).
I was wondering what your next Marvel project would be, and this should be a great fit. I haven't been buying Deadpool consistently, but that'll change now.
Victor Gischler is the author of 4 hard-boiled crime novels. His debut novel GUN MONKEYS was nominated for the Edgar Award, and his novel SHOTGUN OPERA was an Anthony Award finalist. His work has been translated into Italian, French, Spanish and Japanese. He earned a Ph.D. in English at the University of Southern Mississippi where they beat him with rolled up newspapers and fed him raw liver.
His Fifth novel GO-GO GIRLS OF THE APOCALYPSE was recently accepted by the Touchstone/Fireside imprint of Simon & Schuster.

This is cool news, but you'd better keep those novels coming, too. 'Nuff said.
That’s pretty cool.

Good luck.
But I agree, keep the novels coming.

Have you been having conversations with yourself just to get ready?
You did great things with the Punisher, I can't wait to see what you do with someone even more unhinged.
I've never read Deadpool, but I'll be reading it now. Congrats on the new gig!
Did you read Joe Kelly's great run?
And you better not be one of those writers that start in comics and don't write a novel for several years!
