Greetings from Maine

I'm having a great time as a guest at the Stonecoast MFA writing program. A great location, cool people, some talented students -- just a very positive experience so far. More as developments unfold ...

I've recently gotten some of my best writing done in that state. Break a leg...

Welcome to the northeast. It's "summer" here. Hope you brought your hat and mittens.

Gritty's is the unofficial winter hangout for the Stonecoast students and faculty. Good beer, good food. Best of all, it was within staggering distance of the hotel we used to occupy for the residency.

VG, I'm still pissed this cold kept me home last night. But I'll meet up with you and Scott somewhere down the road.

My wife has the cold now, which means there's no one to care of poor, poor me. Most inconsiderate of her.

Shoot, I wish I'd known you were in the state -- would have driven out to buy you a beer.
