Not only is it game day ... but it's also GRILL day. I will be warming up witth some chicken drumettes for snacks and then I'll put on the spare ribs to cook nice and slow and be ready just in time for kickoff. I cannot fully escape work, and will be outlining a project for Marvel during the golf tournament prior to the big game. Big sports day. Big grill day.
GO SAINTS!

Saints fan. In Minnesota. Plans: cheddar brats, a bottle of red, a comfy recliner and a new dog...and my wife rooting for the Colts just to piss me off.
Neil,
You and the wife should have a superbowl bet. Loser walks the dog in the snow for the next month.

Saints fans here in Austin. Hosting a Second Line pregame party, with Hurricanes, four real musical instruments played by kids, tons of kazoos for the unmusical, a giant Who Dat sign and marching around our neighborhood playing When the Saints Go Marching In, ending at a friend's house who hosts a huge Super Bowl party. We're where Drew Brees grew up and played middle school and high school football and so it's pretty much Saints country. I'm taking a whole cooler of Abita beer to give the party a NOLA flavor. And in touch all day with friends in NOLA. Huge day for New Orleans, no matter the outcome.
Holy Ctap, Jeff! Now THAT'S a shindig. I hope you post some pics on Twitter.

Um, no, because I'm rooting for the Saints. I'm a lifelong fan, but I'm not stupid.
I've got strepp throat so I'm trying to figure out exactly how much alcohol I cangave without severly screwing with the antibiotics and pain meds.
But there is a big batch if pulled pork brewing to make me all warm and fuzzy inside.
Strepp sucks, man. Sorry to hear it, Bryon. The AMA does suggest pork. Should help.

Hard not to root for the Saints...
Ribs and wings. All day.
I'm planning on bumming an apron full of Yeunglings from Swierczynski and just holing up in the hotel room and finishing up this damn manuscri. . .oh. Wait. That was. . .wait, what year is it?
(go Saints)
Superbowl party will be at my Chair's house. We will have Red Beans and Rice, Crawfish Etouffee, Cajun Dip, Homemade Pralines, and a case of Monty Python's Holy Grail Ale. Geaux Saints!!!
Sorry to interrupt the conversation, but I saw the picture of Smith's dog and he is so short he'll have to walk under the snow.
At least you can wait until spring to clean up.
My wife is making margaritas and we'll probably pause the whole game until the kids are in bed.
