This is a blog post.

So I sat down in the mood to write a blog post. Thing is I have no idea what to blog about.

Maybe I'll start out by reminding you to buy some things. THE DEPUTY is a few months old now, but I still consider it my "new" novel, so I'll remind you guys that it exists. I've gotten a lot of good feedback from readers. Thanks. You guys rule.

And if you have a Kindle and a a dollar 99 in change between the couch cushions, you can check out something I wrote a long, long time ago. If you're curious check it out here. If you enjoyed Vampire A Go-Go then it might be right up your alley.

Bring money.

The last two weeks have been a hard slug in the funny book mines. I'll be scripting more this weekend, but I'm no longer in EMERGENCY DEADLINE MODE. I'll take the computer out grill-side and work there. Maybe jump in the pool.

I've got lots of stuff in the hopper. People looking at screenplays, reading sample pages, talking about my novels over Hollywood lunches. But it all seems really far away. Lots of sitting and waiting to pass or pull the trigger.

My wife won't let me have an iPhone. "You check e-mail too much already!"

So ... whassup in your world?

Yeah, I totally understand 'lazy-ass' blog posts. Maybe I'll re-name my blog that. Thanks for the idea. Received a round of first edits from my first editor (debut novel thang). Gotta feeling a different world's about to open.

The world of edits, Ricky! Can be exciting sometimes ... frustrating other times. Good luck!

Hello again:)

I just wanted to mention that I finally got round to my copy of 'X-Men #3'. Forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this.

I saw Remy in there! (THANK-YOU!!!). I didn't know the story beforehand so the little update helped a lot. Though I thought it was Remy AND Storm who went to get Dracula's body.

Anyway, Dracula does seem to have a sort of authority about him that his son lacks. So, that's impressive. Mind you, I'm not really a 'vampire' sort of girl. Maybe if it were like the old movies, like Bela Lugosi (sp?). Still, this Vlad seems imposing enough and has a kind of atmosphere about him.

I'm thinking Jubilee is in on whatever plan Scott has but that remains to be seen.

I don't usually read too many books with gore so I was a little taken aback with Logan's slicing and dicing. But, I liked how you honoured their friendship :)

I have to say that those vampires were sort of decked out like members of the United Guild. They just looked so. As did their body language.

What struck me was that they all looked like Gambit (with the eye colour). And I was reminded of Vlad's other son (in the 'Ro and Remy one-shot) who kept staring at Remy and probably wondering if he was one of them. I think it probably took Gambit aback too to see he has 'their eyes'. lol.

Anyway, I won't take up too much of your time. As I am limited in time myself. But, quickly wanted you to know that I got my copy!

Take care,
Threaza

Hello, Mr. Gischler:
Just found you and Go-Go Girls of The Apocalypse(lips) ;) on an "3 Books" NPR" comment my atheist friend posted on her Facebook today. I love my friends!

I also agree with The New York Post's comment I found on Amazon.com where I purchased your book. (all I've been reading lately is The Bible). I knew this was amazing before Amaz-on's revelation. I'm from NC (currently surviving in WeHo), and I know talent when I feel it.

Here's a revelation of my own: Have I got a Director for You!

A*P

And, BTW: "This is a comment."

Hey Athena.

Stop by Blogpocalypse any time.

Director?

Trying my own hand at writing thanks to you and a crazy vet that visits my workplace. Its actually kind of comic book whimsical to think some guy hangs around work believing to be my "muse" (his words) even if he doesn't shave and dresses in a fashion best described as "off shore worker"
