INK MAGE ... the serial is complete ... now what?

As I write this post, my epic fantasy novel has just completed its run as a serial from Amazon's 47North imprint.  Most of the action centers on Rina Veraiin a young, exiled duchess who is gifted with extraordinary magical tattoos that give her kick ass powers.

The novel is full of sword stabbings and spell casting and a sex scene or two because we likes that, yes we do, precious.  Readers have been generous.  We're sitting on 58 Amazon reviews ... mostly 5 and 4 stars.  I'm optimistic.  I hope there is demand for a sequel.

One thing about the serial format: LOTS of people lamented having to wait for the next chapter.  Hey, I get it. I'm not big on patience either.  So now you can get the COMPLETE novel right here on Kindle.  No more waiting for the next installment!

Oh, and there are still plenty of people who are all "Ebooks my ass!  I likes my novels made of them dead trees!"  We got you covered.  You can preorder the trade paperback HERE.

As Douglas Adams might say, we now enter the long dark tea-time of the soul while I wait and see if sales justify a sequel.  I feel I've built a rich fantasy world, and we've barely scratched the surface of it.  And Rina has plenty of open skin for more tattoos.

If you purchased INK MAGE as a serial ... thanks.  If you haven't yet ... well, maybe the trailer below will nudge you in the right direction.

I now have the paperback on order. Will there be lots of bare ass like in the illustration? Will the extra asses have weirdly abbreviated butt cleavage like in the illustration?

There SHOULD be more bare ass.

WTB: more ink mage novels. :p

In all seriousness, I greatly enjoyed the book, felt like the ending was a bit rushed, but would buy a sequel for sure.

Thanks, Trevor.

Frankly, because of the serial nature I felt it was ALL rushed ... although by design if you know what I mean.

Will there be an audio edition? If so, are you tied down to having Audible do it?

I just stumbled upon this by accident. I am so fortunate to have been able to read it all in one sitting vs waiting for each installment. I definitely would invest in sequels. It's tough to come up on a good read, finish and want a sequel. Hope there are more to come :)

A sequel to Ink Mage? Yes, please. I got to the end and wanted more!

Thanks, cool folks!

Sequel? I hope.

No plans for audio book yet that I know of.

I got the sample and then purchased the full kindle book from that. I am enjoying it, albeit for what it is - fun reading. You mention mage wars in passing, as if they are over. Perhaps what you need is a prequel, rather than just a sequel. I would like that.

I've thought of that too, Anonymous. We'll just have to see what the publisher will let me do.

Enjoyed the story will buy a sequel what else have you done that might feel similar?

Anonymous, hoping to have an announcement soon up or down on a sequel.

My other books are not really anything like INK MAGE.

I have just finished reading this on my new Kindle - couldn't put it down and am now extremely looking forward to the sequel - there is going to be a sequel - right?

I mean, come on "Ahm the gangs's all back together…" where was the jealous red-headed Gypsy Girl?

Like others, I felt this was a bit (well a lot) rushed at the end, but it was really well written

For those asking, the sequel THE TATTOOED DUCHESS was just recently turned in to my editor. As soon as we do the appropriate editing, it will be available. faurly soon, I think.

Amazon did an amazing job turning me on to this series. It ended spectacularly and fairly open to a second trilogy in this universe. Where would I go in order to be the first to know if and when this is announced?
