LaSalle Remembered

As you all know by now, Anthony Neil Smith and I have penned a screenplay called Pulp Boy based (loosely) on the life of the late, great pulp author Emerson LaSalle. Well, LaSalle's estate sent me a package the other day containing some great photos which just shows you the sort of life LaSalle led. Enjoy.

What's remarkable about LaSalle is how, between the photo with Kennedy in the 60s and Shatner in the 80s, the man's face did not age one day.

Is there any truth to the rumor that LaSalle was the one that hooked JFK up with Marilyn Monroe?

He certainly wasn't one with nature.

Perhaps this confirms the rumor that LaSalle had been involved with nuclear weapons testing durring the late 50's effecting his body's suseptability to aging.

That would connect the dots a bit better with LaSalle's claim that he invented the concept of the atomic bomb in his 1939 novel "All's Well That Ends Well on the Western Front of Mankind." Of course his bomb was called the "Bitch" bomb, and it worked by angering princesses from the sun causing them to explode.

Did he often get humped by bears?

Why didn't the photographer help him fend off the bear?

Was a time LaSalle could have cold-cocked an uppity bear with both hands in his pockets. Or so I hear.
