Chicago is a pretty big con with a lot of hustle and bustle. I can't speak from a pro's point of view, but it seems like herding cattle from point A to point B. On the other hand, Chicago is a wonderful city.
What about Charlotte's HeroesCon? I've been told it's a great con for relaxing, networking, and meeting fans. From a fan's point of view, it feels more relaxed.
Man, it's been a long time since I've followed up on your work!!! Just wanted to take this chance and say "thank you" for the best reads of my life! I first read Gun Monkeys back in 2004 and instantly fell in love with it. I, of course, then followed up with Pistol Poets & Suicide Squeeze. I haven't gotten to Shotgun Opera just yet, but I like this vampire vibe that's going on! Fan of your work, love your narratives. I look forward to your new stuff ;)
